Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will be expected to work cross-site on both the QMC and City Campus .
You will also be required to participate in weekend and bank holiday arrangements over a 7 day period and support the on-call pharmacists through the senior pharmacist back-up rota.

Training & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GPhC registered
- Diploma/MSc in clinical pharmacy or other appropriate post graduate qualification
- B.Pharm / BSc (Pharmacy) or MPharm
- Demonstrates continued professional development
Desirable criteria
- Independent prescribing qualification (or willing to undertake)
Experience
Essential criteria
- Wide previous experience (post registration) in hospital pharmacy
- Broad knowledge base of clinical areas
- Experience of day to day supervision and assisting in training of pre-registration pharmacists and/or technicians
- Understanding of issues affecting the NHS
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working within critical care
- Evidence of project work completed
- Experience in undertaking, and reporting/presenting audit / research work at local (Trust) level
- Experience using evidence base to undertake complex pharmaceutical decision making to optimise patient care
Communication & Relationship Skills
Essential criteria
- Good interpersonal, negotiating and presentation skills, both written and verbal skills
- Good communication skills with multidisciplinary team members and own profession

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

I also consent to the Occupational Health Department confidentially accessing my occupational health records from my current or previous employer in order to check the status of my vaccinations, immunisations s and screening tests as relevant to the post. - Disclosure and Barring Service: Your post maybe subject to a DBS check which incur a cost dependent on the level of check required (£42.90 for enhanced and £22.90 for standard). I agree to reimburse Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust the cost of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if it is required (by deduction from first month's pay).
