Study leave allowances are as set out in the Terms and Conditions of Service and are equivalent to those of substantive trainees.
Assessment within the Luton & Dunstable Hospital is conducted by the Educational Supervisor at least every six months. Career Counselling will be available from the College Tutor.
The appointee will be expected to participate in clinical audits and quality improvement programmes. There is bimonthly clinical governance and M&M meeting during which interesting audits and cases are presented and discussed

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- MBBS or equivalent
- Evidence of postgraduate qualification acceptable to RCOA
Desirable criteria
- Primary FRCA
- Other medical degree for example MRCP, MCEM
Eligibility
Essential criteria
- Full registration with the GMC
- Completion of foundation 1 and 2 or equivalent
- 2 years specialty training or equivalent in line with GMC standards/good medical practice.
- Eligibility to work in the UK
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of current employment in a UKPFO-affiliated foundation programme
Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous anaesthetic experience of at least 3 years
Audit Experience
Essential criteria
- Interest in conducting audit/QI Programme
Desirable criteria
- Participation in audit cycle
Personal skills
Essential criteria
- Flexible approach to work
- Evidence of working in a team
- IT literate
Language Skills
Essential criteria
- All applicants to have demonstrable skills in written and spoken English that are adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues
