Eligibility
Essential criteria
- Full GMC registration (GMC Licence to Practice is mandatory before employment commences)
- Evidence of achievement of Foundation competencies in line with GMC standards in Good Medical Practice
- Evidence of achievement of ST1/CT1 competences in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at time of application and likelihood of achieving ST2/CT2 competences in Obstetrics and Gynaecology by the start date of the post

Qualifications

- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- MRCOG part 1, 2
- Relevant post graduate qualification (MRCP, MRCS)
Desirable criteria
- MRCOG part 3
- Additional relevant clinical experience
Clinical Skills
Essential criteria
- Excellent all round experience of DGH work
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Competent to perform instrumental delivery and uncomplicated LSCS & ERPC
- Ability to work independently, but aware of own limitations
Commitment to Clinical Governance/Improving quality of patient care
Essential criteria
- Clinical governance: Able to demonstrate an understanding of the principles and elements of clinical governance
- Audit: evidence of active participation in audit
- Teaching: evidence of interest and experience in medical student and junior doctor teaching
- Research: understanding of the principles of research
Desirable criteria
