We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Client Account Manager to join the EF-Group team based in Manchester, at what is an exciting time of change and opportunity. EF are the leaders in the provision of procurement services to the Care sector and this role will play a pivotal part in driving the future growth and success of our business.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Client Account Manager to lead our business relationship with our largest clients (with a £34m p.a. managed spend). You will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and the role represents a high-profile opportunity to drive outstanding customer service, long-term strategic value, lead business transformation initiatives and shape future growth.
This is more than an account management role-it is a strategic partnership leadership position that requires a forward-thinking mindset, commercial acumen and the ability to translate client needs into actionable strategies. You'll work closely with both the client and internal EF-Group and Foodbuy stakeholders to ensure seamless supply chain execution while identifying opportunities for innovation, value generation and commercial growth.
This role will also support the Head of Account Management with the coaching and mentoring of the EF-Group Account Management team and is a hybrid position that can be based anywhere within the UK.
Key Strategic Responsibilities
Client Strategy & Partnership Leadership
- Serve as the strategic lead and trusted advisor for EF-Group's largest client ensuring alignment between client objectives and EF's service delivery.
- Develop and execute joint strategic account plans to drive long-term value and operational excellence.
- Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and performance dialogues using tools such as Clientshare Pulse, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Embed best-in-class strategic frameworks and practices to enhance client engagement and retention.
Strategic Growth & Value Creation
- Drive organic revenue growth and profitability (PBIT) through cross-selling, upselling, and proactive business development.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in collaboration with category, commercial and supplier teams.
- Lead contract growth initiative strategies through a value-focused, consultative approach.
Leadership & Team Development
- Act as deputy to the Head of Account Management, providing leadership, oversight and strategic input across the wider team.
- Mentor and guide junior EF-Group's client account managers, establishing performance metrics and facilitating development pathways.
- Ensure consistency and quality of service delivery across the EF-Group client account portfolio.
Insight-Driven Performance Management
- Leverage business intelligence dashboards, and KPIs to inform strategic decisions and demonstrate value to the client.
- Continuously analyse data to uncover efficiency gains, cost-saving opportunities, and service improvements.
Cross-Functional Strategic Collaboration
- Collaborate across procurement, culinary, sustainability and commercial teams to deliver integrated, client-specific solutions.
- Partner with category and supplier leads to ensure alignment on growth opportunities and delivery execution.

- Senior-level experience in client account management with a track record of success.
- Demonstrated success in client retention, revenue growth and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with procurement and supply chain processes, ideally within the healthcare or foodservice sectors.
