Senior Care & Support Assistant

Location: Maiden Castle House - Dorchester - DT1 2NJ

Pay rate: £12.50 per hour

Hours: Full & Part Time - Every Other Weekend Off

Who we are looking for:

Maiden Castle House are keen to welcomea naturally caring and compassionate "Senior Care & Support" team member.

Someone who can make a positive impact on the lives of our residents, you will need to be able to inspire and nurture the team to be at their best every day.

You'll have completed an NVQ 2 in Health & Social Care & be happy to work towards a NVQ 3 .

With your previous care experience, you will have the knowledge and understanding of care planning.

What you will be doing:

• Work alongside a team of Care & Support Assistants to ensure they are supported and have guidance throughout their shift.
• Identifying the individual needs and abilities of our residents to allow you to deliver person centred care.
• Supporting residents to help them remain as independent as possible.
• Providing companionship - really getting to know them!
• Act as point of escalation for any incidents or events in the home.
• Working in a team to create a co-operative, friendly and welcoming atmosphere around home.
