Ratings Operations is currently seeking a Product Owner based out of our Manchester office.
The Fitch Ratings Analytical and Business Applications Tribe is responsible for building systems used by our credit analysts. We provide internal users with information and tools to help inform and deliver their decisions. We automate analytical processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk. This Product Owner will join a newly-established squad with a mission to deliver data-driven systems for monitoring the performance of transactions.

We'll Count on You To:
• Define the overall strategy and direction for the applications based on understanding of organisational goals and needs of the analytical groups.
• Communicate and align with stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of the vision and roadmap.
• Own the roadmap, feature prioritisation, backlog and MVP.
• Lead the Agile squad to define and align sprint goals, ensuring "ready" user stories and supporting the squad to deliver on sprint commitments.
• Lead Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, and daily scrum meetings.
• Work closely with the squad to provide timely feedback and answers to their questions; ultimately accept or reject the product increments of the sprint.
• Analyse complex system processes for both current (As-Is) and future (To-Be) states.
• Oversee change management including system rollout and user training.
What You Need to Have:
• Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of product ownership experience.
• Proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions with a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to see the business as a customer and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Agile practitioner capabilities and experience working with or in Agile teams.
• Ability to create and maintain a backlog and roadmap, and to prioritise that backlog based on business value and technical feasibility.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt communication to audience, including senior management of analytical groups as key stakeholders and technical specialists in the squad.
• Ability to work to get things done in a high-demand, matrixed organisation.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, demonstrating an ability to work well with teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Jira, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
What Would Make You Stand Out:
• Certified Product Owner (CSPO) certification.
• Experience of systems to capture, store and apply time-series data to monitor performance over time.
• Understanding of financial services and particularly capital markets.
