Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week), working daytime shifts (between 8.30am - 5.30pm). Including weekends and bank holidays.
We are looking for Senior Café Assistants to work in our prestigious Ashton courtyard Cafe in Ashton Court Estate to provide visitors with a great experience. Working in our Parks Catering team you'll have the opportunity to make a difference to someone's day, every day and come to work in some of the City's most beautiful parks.

With nine cafes & kiosks across the City, we not only provide food and drink to the thousands of visitors to our parks every year but also generate income to help fund the cost of maintaining Bristol's parks and green spaces.

We are focussed on increasing the income from our Parks Catering service and improving the experience customers can expect when they visit our cafes and kiosks. This won't be possible without having a great team of people and without great people to lead and inspire them.

As a Senior Cafe Assistant, you will be inspired to deliver exceptional customer service. Our Senior assistants need to be just as at home working in the kitchen as being front of house serving customers. You will work alongside and be assistant to the Café Team Leader to promote a respectful team environment, train junior team members to ensure high standards of service, quality and cleanliness are achieved.

To be successful you will need:

  • Level 2 Food safety certificates or be willing to work towards them when you join us
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • A good understanding of allergens, food safety and Health & Safety at work
  • Previous experience of working in a catering/hospitality environment
  • Good Barista skills and some knowledge of hot beverage service
  • Experience of operating an EPOS system (Electronic till system)
  • The ability to work using your initiative.

You'll be working various daytime shifts, including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. You will be based at courtyard Café for the majority of your time; however, you could be required to work at other locations across the city which includes Ashton court Golf, Vaulted chambers and Blaise Castle Estate.

Car parking is available at most of our sites.

Uniform is provided.

A meal is provided on duty.
