The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in UK's & Ireland's Building Services sector. Alternative Heat design, develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.
We specialise in the design, supply, and installation of a wide range of prefabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe. We also offer turnkey design, build, and operate solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating solutions and have experience with successfully procuring and delivering many similar packages to a wide range of public bodies throughout UK & Europe.

Location | Head Office, Banbridge.
Hours | Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm

Responsible to | IT Systems Manager
As Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving the company's technological strategy, optimising complex business systems, and ensuring technology solutions align with organisational goals. With your experience, you will lead cross-functional projects, mentor junior analysts, and act as a trusted advisor in decision-making processes. Your efforts will directly contribute to enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring robust data integrity, and supporting the growth of the company through continuous improvement of business systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of business systems to meet evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, and recommend scalable, technology-based solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, sharing best practices and fostering professional development within the team.
- Act as a key project manager on high-impact IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving projects to successful completion.
- Proactively analyse business systems and recommend improvements, with a focus on process automation, data integrity, and system integration.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within business systems, providing actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Lead user training initiatives to maximise system adoption and utilisation, providing ongoing support to end-users.
- Serve as point of contact between IT, business units, and external vendors to ensure alignment and effective collaboration on system requirements and solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Systems Manager and management.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential Criteria
- 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis or a related field, with a proven track record of leading IT projects and process optimisations.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to assess both business needs and technical requirements to develop effective solutions.
- Strong knowledge of business systems and applications, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimise workflows.
- Proven experience in managing projects from concept to completion, with strong skills in project management and stakeholder communication.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior management.
- Strong organisational skills, with the flexibility to manage shifting priorities and adapt to changing business requirements.
- Effective use of planning and collaboration tools to prioritise tasks and manage time.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and report to senior management on system performance and improvement initiatives.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in business systems and technology.
Desirable Criteria:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in working with enterprise-level business systems.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques for enhanced business insights.
