Responsibilities

attributes of a WSP Senior Business Support Team Leader.

  • Responsible for a team of Business Support Administrators located across different

offices, you will demonstrate positive, proactive people skills.

  • This is an exciting and varied role, and a snapshot of your typical tasks might include

(but are not restricted to);

o Rota management and proactively overseeing the workload of the team to avoid any

disruption to the service. You will anticipate and respond ensuring the team is adequately resourced.

o Identifying and carrying out training, inductions, meaningful Personal Development

Reviews, mentoring and coaching of your team.

o Drive operational excellence through supporting simplification and continuous

improvement across Business Admin.

o Support the Deputy Head of Business Administration with the implementation of

Service Level Agreements ensuring that activities are completed in accordance with WSP procedures and guidelines.

o Ensure that administration staff adhere and are kept up to date with relevant policies

and procedures as well as technology and system changes to be able to deliver an outstanding client experience.

o Support the Deputy Head of Business Admin with employee relations matters across

the team.

o Drive key initiatives and projects across Business Admin and the wider business,

utilising effective change management to successfully drive change.

o Drive and maintain regular engagement with stakeholders to promote Business

Support services.

o Identifying potential opportunities to increase the profitability of the team.

o Support the Deputy Head of Business Administration in defining our vision and

implement initiatives to elevate our service provision and quality of our work.

  • You will gain invaluable insight and experience of working for one of the world's leading

engineering professional services firms and will work with internal stakeholders across our many and varied different functions.

YOUR TEAM

The UK Business Administration team is the backbone of the UK WSP business and is key to the smooth running of the business. With clearly defined career pathways and exciting opportunities to develop, the team is made up of a Business Support team consisting of Business and Project Support, Document and Accessibility specialists, Graphics and Concierge. We also have a Personal Assistant network providing support to our senior directors.

You will be able to meet your colleagues and share tips and best practice, proactively contribute to ensuring a safe and healthy working environment and get involved in new initiatives and ideas.

Qualifications

  • Have proven experience in managing and leading teams, with direct line management experience.
  • Have extensive experience in delivering a high-quality business administration service ina demanding and pressurised environment. Previous experience in similar roles considered.
  • Strong collaborator, able to drive and lead key projects.
  • Inspires, motivates, encourages and influences others.
  • Have a professional and confident manner.
  • Strategic thinker, excellent communicator and client interaction skills.
  • Have a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues across the organisation.
  • Have the ability to plan, problem solve and use own initiative.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Have a minimum of 10 GCSE's or equivalent including Maths and English. A-Levels or equivalent is desirable.
  • Are fully conversant to an advanced level in Microsoft 365, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Knowledge and understanding of Adobe InDesign and wider Adobe Creative Apps is desired.
