We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Support Officer to join the Gleadless Valley Regeneration Team. This is a fast paced, challenging team which offers opportunities to work with internal and external stakeholders at a variety of levels to enable exciting regeneration activities in Gleadless Valley to progress.

The Gleadless Valley Regeneration Team is currently working with colleagues across the Council, external stakeholders and the broader community to develop a regeneration delivery plan for the estate. The work in the team is broad and there will be plenty of opportunities to develop your own knowledge and skills across different themed areas.

The regeneration themes this role will support includes:

  • Community Engagement, Wellbeing and Safety
  • Development and Planning
  • Refurbishment and Sustainability
  • Green and Blue Spaces
  • Employment, Skills and Enterprise

This role will appeal to someone who has a genuine interest in working directly with the community.

We are looking for a committed, flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated person who is confident in verbal and written communication, including customer enquiries, and has excellent IT skills, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Teams, Outlook and Excel.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
