Senior Business Support Officer to provide support to a FIS Intervention worker.

Are you an experienced administrator looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity for an SBSO to join our service for 22.5 hours per week.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated support worker to provide a one-to-one support to a neurodiverse individual and provide tailored support as an SBSO to meet their specific needs. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. The Individual should be motivated, self-directed with the ability to communicate clearly to ensure that tasks are completed in time.

Key tasks:

  • Retrieving and inputting information from case management systems and MS programmes.
  • Planning multiagency meetings

Room bookings

MS Teams set up

Diary management

  • Supporting multiagency meetings

Attending face to face and virtual multiagency meetings

Note taking for the chair

Supporting the chair in compiling a meeting record from notes.

  • Forward planning multiagency meetings
  • Scanning & uploading documents
  • Providing support to navigate Liquid Logic, uploads and downloads
  • Input meeting notes on Liquid Logic
  • Organising Outlook Folders
  • Overview of calendar

Plan meetings Identify and rearrange clashes

Book travel time

Share directions and provide data for milage claims

Protected lunch/reading/email time etc

  • Support in making IT request and Logging issues
  • Booking training

Attend face to face and virtual training as required in support of worker

Attend face to face and virtual training as required as an SBSO

Please note this is not an exhaustive list and is an Access to Work funded post to provide high-level administrative support to workers with their recording responsibilities.

Requirements:

Experience working with neurodiverse individuals is preferred, but not essential. Applicants should be patient, empathetic, and possess excellent communication skills, with a proactive and adaptable approach to support.

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs (including English and Maths) or equivalent qualifications, along with proven experience in a similar administrative role. Strong organisational, and time management skills are essential, as well as the ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality. Applicants should be comfortable using IT systems such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.

Senior Business Support Officers need to be flexible regarding the location they work and must be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. You will be expected to manage your own workload and meet deadlines. Experience working in a busy office environment with a good understanding of office processes and procedures is important, as well as strong problem-solving skills.
