Cambridgeshire County Council is looking for a Senior Business Officer to support our SEND Team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an established high performing team with an outstanding reputation for leading the way in the Statutory Process for young people.
If you have the passion to support the Sensory and Visually Impaired Service for young people and families to manage the demand currently within the service and supporting children and young people with highly complex needs, whilst looking at ways to streamline processes at the heart of everything you do and the ambition to help shape our future, we would love to hear from you.

What will you be doing?
The successful candidate will:
Be an individual who is focussed and flexible with the ability to work independently and as part of a bigger team.
You will be able to work under pressure to tight time scales with an ability to prioritise, organise and manage your own workload and have excellent interpersonal skills combined with the ability to represent the service in a positive and professional manner, including communicating with a wide range of stake holders and customers both internally and externally.
You will be able to handle and process large amounts of information coming into the team to ensure a professional and responsive approach is taken.
Carry out additional reasonable duties as required by the line manager.
To demonstrate awareness/understanding of equal opportunities and other people's behavioural, physical, social and welfare needs
About you
The successful candidate will be:
Educated to GCSE Standard with Grade A-C in Maths and English or equivalent standard.
Extensive office administrative experience
Fully proficient at using IT systems, with a good working knowledge the Microsoft Office package
Knowledge of health and safety legislation
Knowledge of Data Protection and Equal Opportunities legislation and their requirements
Understanding of financial management, procedures, and processes
Able to prioritise workload
Able to consistently produce work of a high standard
Good interpersonal skills - able to communicate in a friendly, open, and constructive manner via email and telephone
Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
Commitment to continuous service development
Adaptable and flexible to the needs of the Team with a willingness to learn and develop
