Senior Business Development Manager I SPS

This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office (City of London or Manchester location) and 2 days working from home.
Role Purpose
We are looking to hire an experienced Senior Business Development Manager who can originate new to bank deposits from a range of sectors. The successful candidate will need to be relationship driven, ideally with a good introducer network and customer relationships. They must have strong business development skills and a proven track record of winning deposits. The successful candidate will also need to deputise for the Head of Deposit Solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand the bank's deposit raising strategy and proactively identify and action sales opportunities to meet growth objectives
- Deputise for the Head of Deposit Solutions, support in running the team and if needed, be comfortable presenting to the bank's Senior Leadership
- Support development of more junior members of Deposit Solutions Team and wider Deposits Team
- Identify, develop and manage a portfolio of business introducers
- Identify, research and propose new potential target sectors in line with the bank's deposit raising strategy
- Be responsible for calling programmes and managing prospect lists, supporting junior BDMs to do the same
Skills and Experience
- Proven 5 years+ business development experience with a bank or non-bank provider selling deposit products/solutions
- Established customer/introducer network
- Demonstrated ability to win deposit deals of £5m+, ideally with experience in a non-rated institution
- Strong relationship management skills
- Knowledge of deposits, ideally solutions aimed at businesses/charities/credit unions
