  • Suffolk County Council - Various locations - Hybrid
  • £32,076 per annum (pro rata if part time)
  • 37 hours per week - Flexible working options available
  • Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Home First Business and Finance Team as a Senior Business and Finance Officer. This is a county-wide service so your base can be at any of the following Home First offices: West Suffolk House, Landmark House or Hamilton House.

  • Do you have recent experience of line management?
  • Do you have an in depth understanding of ContrOCC, Oracle Fusion and LAS?

Your role and responsibilities

You will be:

  • Line managing Business and Finance Administrators.
  • Developing training and guidance of LAS, ContrOCC and Oracle Fusion processes.
  • Undertaking financial recharging.
  • Supporting with financial forecasting.
  • Identifying areas of data that require cleansing.
  • Using excel at an intermediate level daily, therefore you must have excellent IT skills.
  • Producing monthly financial reports to a high standard providing recommendations on your analysis.
  • Day to day management of the Business and Finance Team.
  • Plan your workload and manage your priorities whilst working to tight deadlines.

You must be able to work flexibly as part of a team, have strong interpersonal skills and have a good understanding of how to deliver a good customer service experience. We will provide you with training and on-going support to achieve this.

You will need:

  • Proven experience of using LAS and ContrOCC to a high level and being able to share this knowledge with others.
  • Experience of working in an environment where you have produced reports including analysis.
  • Proven experience of integrated working across ACS and Health.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Home First has main offices based in West Suffolk House (Bury St Edmunds), Landmark House (Ipswich) and Hamilton House (Lowestoft), along with several satellite offices. You will need to travel to all the main offices routinely as part of this role.
