Energy & Utilities Consulting

Energy & utilities in the UK are going through a transformation journey with the focus on making data-centric Asset Investment decisions, enhanced customer experience (through digital and data enablement), sustainable and reliable infrastructure(green energy driven water treatment, fewer leakages etc.), digitalisation of the aging infrastructure, visualisation of their disparate decision support systems in a single pane of glass and most importantly disruption from innovative technologies entering the marketplace. Cognizant has engagements with multiple energy & utilities clients in the UK where we are helping them being customer obsessed and lead the transformation initiatives to build new offerings, solutions and innovative business models aligned to the market trends and regulatory commitments.

What are we looking for?

• We are seeking experienced Product Analyst/Product Owner/Business Analyst/Consultant/Senior Consultant who are passionate about making a difference for our clients helping us deliver on energy transition and net zero agenda. This is an opportunity for being at the forefront of the transformation journey working with the best minds in the energy and utilities domain at Cognizant.

• Sustainability, Energy Transition and Net Zero Initiatives
• Field Services
• Digital transformation, customer experience and product management
• Electricity and Gas Utility Retail and Transmission & Distribution space (Asset and work Management, Meter to Cash, Credit and collections, Customer experience transformation, Renewables)
• Utilities core business and/or regulatory processes/systems - e.g., electricity balancing and settlement, smart metering, market wide half hourly settlement
• Business Consulting (Advisory Services, Process Consulting & Business Analysis) in Utilities or regulatory bodies in UK&I

Must have skills - having ability to:

• Engage with business stakeholders and conducting workshops for requirement elicitation.
• Independently conduct and lead requirement gathering workshops, write Functional Specifications, BRDs, NFRs, RTMs, user stories, test cases, conduct UAT and training, support go-live thru the lifecycle of global programmes/projects
• Ideate and articulate business pain points and translate them into requirements
• Create business requirements document including the non-functional requirements where required
• Create Process Maps (L1, L2,L3,L4) and undertaking gap analysis where required.
• Manage multiple stakeholders at different levels within client organisation
• Foresee risk, identify dependencies and managing them in advance
• Communicate in an articulate manner with client and internal Cognizant stakeholder
