We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Business Analyst who enjoys the challenges that come with working on corporate functions and regulatory enterprise- wide projects and programmes.
You will be responsible for supporting internal business customers at Schroders to help manage large scale change by performing analysis and owning, authoring and co-ordinating multiple key project deliverables.

What you'll do
Background Schroders Business Transformation is growing in its remit to support the development of key corporate and business strategies and to drive and lead the analysis, design and delivery of large scale, cross group change.
Corporate & Regulatory Change is one of the key practices within Business Transformation and the Senior Business Analyst will be a core member within the Corporate COO's team.
Role Overview

Key Work Level Accountabilities
- Providing leadership and guidance to other team members to improve their business analysis skills.
- Actively collaborates and contributes within the Analysis community to define best practices for analysis teams globally.
- Commits to increasing their skills and experience in Business Analysis and contribute to defining and continuously improving analysis best practice.
- Ensures project team working practices adhere to and are compliant with our change policy and minimum standards.
- Able to carry out line management responsibilities and provide leadership to small teams of Business Analysts on project initiatives.
- Able to mentor and guide professional development of analysts in the team and wider community where appropriate.
- Supporting the development of the wider Business Transformation and Corporate COO organisation through leadership of communities or key involvement in other non-core activities.
- Where required, support the recruitment of appropriate additional staff to meet the objectives of projects and programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading analysis tasks which contribute to the delivery of business outcomes as required by the Business Sponsor/Product Owner.
- Lead the business analysis approach to ensure the effective delivery of Enterprise Change initiatives covering activities such as:
- Confirming nature and scope of change
- Impact assessment of changes
- GAP & Options analysis
- Analysis and documentation of requirements
- Identification and analysis of solutions
- Design and implementation of process and organisational changes
- Interpret business requirements into process change, organisational change and system change requirements.
- Solution Design - estimating complexity and size, determining technical design (within architectural guidelines) and business process and organisational change.
- Contribute to high level analysis of proposed epics/programmes to identify scope, size and value.
- Supports Project Managers and Programme Managers in understanding the analysis & solution impacts and work required to define and deliver business outcomes.
- Provide business analysis support to Project / Programme Manager and Business Sponsors in preparing the business case.
- Partners with the Project / Programme Manager, business & technology leads to shape and structure the programme deliverables.
- Work with colleagues from Change & Technology teams to proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies.
- Develop effective and trusted relationships with vendors and other parties external to Schroders that are part of the programme delivery and able to support the engagement to undertake feasibility & options analysis.
- Supports Product Owners and Project Managers with the required oversight to ensure that requirements including features and stories to be delivered by the Delivery team are suitably well defined and structured and meet business outcomes.
- Deputise for the Project Manger when required and appropriate.
- Assist creation of test cases and support test execution to ensure configuration, system and process changes are in line with documented requirements. Ensure the test strategy is documented to stem from the business requirements that act as guidance for the team to implement a suitable software testing approach.
- Contribute to implementation plans including internal & external communication, training plans and transition to BaU.
Stakeholder Management
- Committing to developing and maintaining trust alongside a good working relationship with senior business stakeholders, Business Transformation, Global Technology and the wider change management community.
- Act as a bridge between the Business Teams and Technology resource (Analysts, Developers, Quality Assurance) to ensure correct implementation of requirements.
- Supporting business stakeholders in requirements & backlog management and prioritisation.
- Serve as the trusted subject matter expert to change initiatives & business sponsors.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Understanding of a range of delivery methodologies.
- Good knowledge of change tools and techniques and the demonstration of their appropriateness.
- Working on initiatives on large business transformational, corporate and regulatory cross domain programs.
- Able to demonstrate a range of capabilities that will enable analysis across a range of delivery portfolios which may include:
- Complex Client and Commercial Solutions
- Regulatory
- Corporate Functions
- Strategic Cross-Group Change
- Demonstratable experience of business analysis across several business domains including business transformational change, process change and technology change; number of different (positive) experiences is valued higher than length of experience.
- Strong communication skills, experienced in managing relationships with senior business stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present the articulate key points to senior management.
- Understanding the need of our clients and the business and tailoring the approach accordingly
- Logical, structured thought processes and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent relationship management skills - able to engage with and gain the confidence of others and maximise their contribution to the process.
- Able to demonstrate initiative.
- Able to provide leadership and guidance to other members in the team.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that'll help
- Experience and understanding of the Asset Management industry.
- Basic professional qualifications relating to the asset management industry (such as IMC) and business analysis practises (ISEB).
- Educated to at least undergraduate degree level.
