Due to our exciting growth plans we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our newly restructured Tech team, who will both work as an individual and lead a team of Business Analysts to identify, define and document business processes and requirements to be developed as software in the Services, Finance and HR Product areas of our business. You'll be the senior liaison between our business, technology and 3rd party teams by facilitating communication and determining software objectives that align with stated and unstated business needs.

The Role:

  • You'll obtain a deep understanding of relevant Wickes business areas to be able to build and maintain high-quality requirements and recommend process, commercial and technology improvements.
  • You will lead, motivate, inspire and promote a collaborative team environment and provide mentorship to business analysts in the Services, HR and Finance product areas. Actively take part in cross functional activities to improve ways of working and standards for delivery.
  • You'll use a variety of techniques and work with the business and delivery teams to shape and prioritise detailed business requirements by making recommendations towards standard retail practice and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions where they are leading to unique customisation/development.
  • Identify and assist in prioritising opportunities to streamline business processes, document current processes and models to understand inefficiencies or gaps
  • You'll understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks, whilst building strong relationships with business partners and architecture to discuss trade offs and work collaboratively to shape requirements accordingly.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and agile planning tools such as Jira and confluence would be advantageous.

  • Previous experience of working in Cloud and SaaS based solution projects with a background in HR or Finance is essential.
  • Proficiency in Google Doc, Sheets, Slides, Lucid charts, Confluence, Jira or using equivalent tools. Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, SQL, or business intelligence software, can be advantageous.
  • You'll have a proven track record of working in large and complex business facing projects involving multiple business applications.
  • Familiarity with common retail systems and technologies, such as point-of-sale (POS) systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, customer relationship management (CRM) software, or inventory management software.
  • You'll have great interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships at all levels and be able to influence.
  • You'll have experience of working with on-shore and offshore SIs, building a relationship with your counterparts to achieve the right outcome.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
