Are you enthusiastic, and self-motivated? we have an opportunity for a Senior Business Administrator to join the Education Support Admin Team within the Education Division. We are part of a Local Authority dedicated to championing change for children.

Our Senior Business Administrators play a vital role in supporting the Council - helping us provide a better service to the people of East Sussex. It's fast-paced and varied, but we'll make sure you get all the training and support you need to succeed.

We are looking to appoint a highly organised, articulate and friendly individual, with effective verbal and written communication skills, a professional telephone manner and the ability to stay calm under pressure. You will be the first point of contact for parents/carers, schools and staff so will ensure the first impression given is of the highest standard whether in person or over the telephone. If you enjoy working in administration in a fast-paced environment and want to further this by providing a valuable role in public service, then we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Great organisational and effective communication and MS Office skills
  • Provide support and guidance to the Business Administrators.
  • Accurate minute taking skills
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities, working independently, and staying calm under pressure.
  • Able to work both on own initiative and as part of a team.

Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 37 hours, full time. The post holder can be based in either;

County Hall - Lewes
Cavendish House - Hastings
St Mary's House - Eastbourne
