If you are, then we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are looking for a Senior Business Administrator to join our small team which provides administrative support to the SEND and Safeguarding Senior Leadership team within Education East Sussex. You will not need a background in Education but evidence of strong administrative skills will be an advantage.
As a Senior Business Administrator, you will have a varied workload, providing high level support to busy senior managers, undertaking key tasks such as meeting organisation, minute taking and data inputting. One of your key responsibilities will be monitoring and tracking correspondence coming into the team inboxes.
You will work alongside other administrative colleagues and provide project support with guidance from the Service Support Officer.
Our administrators provide a key support service for senior managers which enables leaders to provide an effective and efficient service to the residents of East Sussex. We are looking for candidates who:
- Are able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Have excellent organisational skills.
- Are self-motivated and able to organise their own workload.
- Are able to communicate effectively and efficiently.
- Have excellent ICT skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
The role is hybrid, utilising working from home and working in our Lewes office.
Currently the successful candidates will be required to work from the office Tuesdays and Thursdays but must be available to work in the office any day of the week (Monday to Friday) subject to team requirements. Occasionally the successful candidates may need to travel to another base within East Sussex.
We will provide you with all the support and training you will need to succeed in the role. In addition, there will be further training opportunities to allow you to advance your skills and career.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency's Points-based Immigration System.
