An exciting opportunity has arisen in the East Sussex Education Division, for the role of Senior Business Administrator with line management responsibility. We are part of a Local Authority dedicated to championing change for children.
The post is within a newly formed admin team located across the county and you will have the opportunity to help grow and develop the team. As a Senior Business Administrator, you will line manage and supervise Business Administrators ensuring they are able to respond to local needs and ensure Council policies are met. You will maintain staff wellbeing enabling them to ensure performance continuously improves. This includes undertaking one to one's, annual appraisals and providing support and identifying training and development needs. You will also need great organisational skills, accurate minute taking skills, have the ability to work under pressure, excellent communication and MS Office skills and a desire to make a difference to the families we work with.
This role will cover the admin staff based at County Hall, Lewes. It is for 37 hours a week and is a permanent contract.

You will be working at County Hall; the Head Office for the County Council, based on the edge of Lewes Town Centre, which is within walking distance to the town and train station. County Hall is also on a bus route and car parking is available on site at a reduced rate for employees.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency's Points-based Immigration System.
