Senior Building Surveyor

Our client is looking for a senior building surveyor to join their team in the North West and North East regions. With opportunities to work on a wide range of projects, including Technical Due Diligence and Forensic Surveying commissions, across different sectors. This role is a hybrid role with it being a mix of site working, home working and office working from the Manchester or North Tyneside office bases.

As a senior building surveyor you will be joining a diverse multi-disciplinary team, you'll work with colleagues who have different levels of experience and qualifications. As well as building on your existing technical expertise, you'll get the opportunity to further develop team leadership, management and business development skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop detailed briefs in collaboration with the client and senior colleagues
  • Establish and maintain positive client relationships
  • Support business development activities by senior colleagues
  • Carry out site surveys (including measured surveys, condition surveys and defect analysis)
  • Undertake design and specification work and assist with preparing tender information
  • Assist with administering building contracts

You will need:

  • BSc in Building Surveying or equivalent
  • MRICS or MCIOB, or similar is preferred
  • Have experience of advising on commercial properties either in a Building Surveying or Building Control environment
  • Good Auto CAD skills and ability to work with new software and platforms to improve efficiency
  • Full UK Driving Licence
