We are excited to offer two fantastic opportunities for experienced, HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists in Histopathology and Molecular Pathology. If you have at least 4 years of experience at band 6 or 7 level in cellular pathology or molecular diagnostics, this could be the fresh start you're looking for in 2025.

Role Responsibilities:
Histopathology Role:
- Multi-disciplinary work in general histology, special stains, and immunohistochemistry.
- Lead a team of BMS staff, expanding the repertoire and upskilling the team to deliver a top-class service.
- Opportunity to develop expertise in FISH enumeration, ER/PR/Her2, and MMR reporting.
Molecular Pathology Role:
- Responsible for conducting Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), PCR, tumour burden assessments, and result interpretation.
- Lead and enhance the molecular diagnostics service while developing staff competence in these areas.
- Train in FISH enumeration and broaden reporting skills into areas such as ER/PR/Her2 and MMR.
Both roles require a hands-on approach to service development and operational excellence, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.

Qualifications
- HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience working at band 6 or 7 level, ideally in histopathology with immunohistochemistry or molecular diagnostics.
- Proficiency or willingness to train in specialized reporting areas (FISH, ER/PR/Her2, MMR).
- A proactive attitude toward training and mentoring junior staff and contributing to service development.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Additional Information
Working Days: This is a full time position, 37.5 hours over 5 days between Monday and Saturday
Salary: AFC Band 6 equivalent (depending upon experience)
