Qualifications
Essential criteria
- HCPC Registration, through possession of an acceptable degree
- IBMS Specialist portfolio or its predessessor the logbook
- IBMS Higher Specialist Portfolio in Haematology or Diploma of Expert Practice in Routine Haematology or MSc with Haematology or transfusion specialism.
- Evidence of CPD
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Appropriate laboratory experience
- Previous experience within the discipline at Specialist BMS Level
Desirable criteria
- Substantial experience within discipline
- Leadership experience
- Training Experience
Communication
Essential criteria
- Good communication skills (Verbal & Written)
- Evidence of working as part of a team
- Keyboard skills & computer literacy
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Awareness of management issues
Desirable criteria
- Presentation skills

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
