Lumanity are hiring a Resourcing Manager to join the UK-based Insight & Strategy teams in a global role.
Responsibilities / Position overview
This position is responsible for managing project resourcing across all researchers and consultants to ensure that we have the correct project team shape and expertise to deliver projects (primary focus) and proposals (secondary focus, researchers only) to a high standard. The regional focus of the role is support for Research teams globally (US and EU) and support for Strategy team in Europe.
The Global Resourcing Manager contributes as an integral member of the Business Operations / Operational Excellence teams and supports activities strategically aligned to and consistent with the mission and values of Lumanity.
- Receive project requirements and review resource availability; maintain a capacity forecast to stay ahead of staffing constraints.
- Day-to-day, assign/allocate project leads and teams to projects using Kantata, making data-driven decisions which consider project requirements (e.g. role, skillset, experience, conflicts), resource availability/location, client requests and the use of external resourcing.
- Ensure fair workload distribution among researchers and consultants, track individual workloads over time, identify outliers, and communicate feedback to LT / BusOps (and cascade to line managers if appropriate) for adjustments needed.
- Optimize Research and Strategy team's resource management process and improve utilization of resource and project margins.
- Continuously improve resourcing practices by implementing strategies to address capacity constraints and ensure project continuity.
- Manage and coordinate external resources to ensure optimal project (and for Research team, proposal) delivery, collaborating with Human Resources and Finance to ensure compliance with legislation and budgets.
Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent college qualification relevant to the market research industry or business administration.
- At least 5 years' experience working in a client service / agency, ideally in a similar industry (health or/life sciences).
- At least 2 years in resource allocation within a matrix structure, demonstrating ability to coordinate both internal and external resourcing.
- Demonstratable knowledge of project team requirements to deliver projects or proposals.
- Demonstratable knowledge of IR35 in the context of resource management.
- Intermediate computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft suite and Teams.
- Experience with Kantata (Mavenlink ideally over Kimble) desirable.
