About the role

We're now looking for an experienced Senior Bid Manager to join our work winning team. This is a key leadership role, where you'll take ownership of developing and managing winning bids that reflect our technical expertise, innovation, and commitment to excellence.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior Bid Manager you will:

  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary bid teams, driving collaboration across pre-construction, commercial, design, and delivery functions.
  • Develop and implement winning bid strategies that showcase Balfour Beatty's strengths and deliver value for our clients.
  • Manage bid programmes, governance, and documentation to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
  • Engage with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to build trust and shape compelling project solutions.
  • Lead the development of written and visual content that clearly communicates our value proposition.
  • Support the continuous improvement of our bid processes and mentor junior team members.

Who we're looking for

You will have the following:

  • experience in bid management or pre-construction within the UK construction industry.
  • A successful track record of leading bids for construction/infrastructure projects across education, healthcare, or commercial sectors.
  • Strong commercial understanding and familiarity with design and construction processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to lead and motivate diverse teams while maintaining focus on quality and deadlines.
  • A collaborative, solutions-driven approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
