About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior BI Analyst to join our central Data & BI Team, responsible for delivering high-quality, trusted and insight-driven reporting across the Group. This role will leverage data curated within Microsoft Fabric to design and develop centralised Power BI dashboards that support strategic, operational and self-service analytics for business functions.
You will act as a technical Power BI expert and analytics lead, partnering closely with data engineering, stakeholders and business teams. In addition, you will line manage and develop two BI/Data Analysts, ensuring consistent standards, strong capability growth and delivery of actionable insights across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards and reports for Group-wide and functional reporting.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear analytical solutions and visual narratives.
- Work closely with the Data Engineering team to consume, validate and optimise data from Microsoft Fabric.
- Own Power BI data models, DAX calculations, semantic layers and performance optimisation.
- Establish and enforce BI standards, best practices and governance across reporting outputs.
- Migrate and redevelop existing excel and Tableau reporting in PBI.
- Line manage, mentor and upskill two BI/Data Analysts, supporting both technical and analytical development.
- Act as a trusted analytics partner to senior stakeholders, providing insight, challenge and recommendations.
- Support and promote self-service analytics while maintaining data quality and consistency
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience in a Senior BI Analyst, Senior Analyst, or similar role.
- Expert-level Power BI skills, including:
- Data modelling
- Advanced DAX
- Report performance optimisation
- UX-focused dashboard design
- Strong data analysis and storytelling skills, with the ability to derive insight from complex datasets.
- Experience working with centralised data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or equivalent.
- Confident stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrable experience managing, mentoring or coaching analysts.
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of data structures.
Desirable:
- Experience working within a central data or BI function.
- Knowledge of Fabric, Lakehouse architectures, or modern cloud data platforms.
- Familiarity with data governance, metrics standardisation and reporting frameworks.
- Experience enabling and supporting self-service BI.
- Exposure to Agile or product-led delivery models.
