Role Description
As a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst at Allianz, you will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate with various departments to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that enhance business performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your analytical skills will directly contribute to the company's success.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £50,000 per year.
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain BI solutions that meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse data needs, translating them into technical specifications.
- Design and build dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular data validation and cleansing.
- Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and data interpretation.
- Monitor and optimize BI system performance, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continually improve BI processes.
Experience
- Proven experience as a BI Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong background in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.
- Understanding of cloud platforms and services related to data analytics.
