Senior BESS Integration & Plant Control Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Battery Energy Storage System Integration Engineer to support a major offshore wind and HVDC integration project. This role sits at the centre of controls, grid compliance, trading optimisation, and multi?OEM coordination-perfect for someone who thrives on complex engineering challenges.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support integration between BESS, HVDC systems, offshore wind plant and control systems
• Develop and refine operating and control philosophies
• Define interfaces for trading, dispatch and revenue optimisation
• Oversee testing and grid code compliance activities
• Manage technical interfaces across OEMs, SCADA, controls, trading, and operational teams
• Produce clear documentation covering operational modes, trip logic and control schemes

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience delivering BESS integration on complex power or renewable projects
• Understanding of control systems, SCADA, OEM interfaces, and shared grid connections
• Knowledge of UK trading/optimisation platforms and revenue models
• Solid grasp of UK grid code compliance for large grid?connected assets
• Ability to drive alignment across multidisciplinary technical teams
• Degree in Electrical/Control Engineering

Role is primary Remote with 1 or 2 days per week either on site or in office.
