Bumble is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Experimentation Platform team and play a key role in fulfilling our mission to create a world where all relationships are healthy and equitable. Concretely, this means maintaining and improving the Experimentation platform that supports the lifecycle of A/B tests and feature flags used by all engineering teams at Bumble Inc.

Situated within the Data and Services Group, this role is integral to furnishing the core functionalities of our applications. We emphasise scalability, reliability, and performance to cater to the demands of end-users and developers alike. Our overarching goal is to develop a balanced system aligned with business objectives, ensuring each problem domain is addressed comprehensibly.

What you'll do;

• Participate in the maintenance and evolution of our Experimentation system, including things like;
• Contributing to large backend projects, in a working group of engineers (backend/data science )
• Supporting our critical PHP-based backend software, optimised for performance and reliability, holding data for hundreds of millions of users
• Support our React-based projects used by hundreds of employees on daily basis
• Writing services and running them in the cloud and on-prem data centres using contemporary technologies like K8s, ArgoCD, and Vault.via GRPC
• Help to improve monitoring and telemetry
• Optimise backend code, look for bottlenecks, and maintain the health of your services in production
• Suggest and implement innovative solutions
• Proactively communicate with colleagues to refine application design
• Actively participate in the whole process of development, from initial design to deployment and support
• Write backend code using PHP or Go

About you;

• Computer Science/Tech related degree is highly desirable
• Proven experience contributing big backend projects with multiple people involved
• Experience with React and Typescript
• Experience in relational databases and SQL, preferably MySQL
• Experience with in-memory cache solutions, preferably Memcache, Redis
• Experience building large scale solutions
• Knowledge of *nix console environment
• Strong experience in PHP or Go
• Strong will to learn new technologies
• Solid communication skills and team-working capability
