Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Rehabilitation of the hard of hearing using digital hearing aids

Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of clinical

Audiology and hearing aid technology

Audit base software and Noah software

Have some knowledge of HR issues relating to the management of staff

Have some experience and be able to perform in specialised areas of Paediatric testing, i.e. VRA, OAE, ABR

Experience and perform in Adult Neuro-otology i.e., ENG, Caloric, ABR, OAE, Real Ear Measurement (MHAS)

Recording test results and accurate record keeping in timely manner

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • BSc / MSc in Audiology or BAAT part 1 and 2

Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Speech Audiometry
  • Have knowledge of fitting CROS BI CROS Aids
  • Advanced knowledge of Audit base and Noah software

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Demonstrable NHS Service experience in Audiology
  • Perform full vestibular testing (VFT), ABR's and OAE
  • BAHA assessment and fitting

Skills

Essential criteria

  • Assisting line manager, in the daily running of the service and supervise the work of trainees and students as required
  • Ability to deputise for Chief Audiologists and Head of Audiology
