The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing team, where your expertise will directly contribute to shaping the future of private markets operations in London.
As a Senior Associate, Private Markets Operations, you'll play a leading, and crucial role in coordinating and supporting transactions with a primary focus on Real Assets, including Real Estate and Infrastructure investments. You will actively help to mentor other team members and as a senior member of the team, partner with the Manager for Private Markets Operations to ensure we are continually improving in everything we do. You'll also work across Private Equity and Private Credit opportunities, leveraging your comprehensive private markets expertise to drive successful outcomes.
Working closely with our global Private Markets & Fund Operations teams, you'll help shape investment decisions that impact millions of members' futures. Your deep understanding of Real Assets will be vital in providing strategic operational support across our diverse investment portfolio.
You'll be part of our growing London team, collaborating with colleagues across multiple time zones in a follow-the-sun model that ensures comprehensive global coverage while maintaining work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational planning and implementation for complex Real Asset transactions, with additional focus on Private Equity and Private Credit investments
- Provide strategic operational advice to UK and US-based Investment Teams across all private market asset classes
- Coordinate with global stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of investment strategies
- Drive continuous improvement in operational processes and risk management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external service providers
The Skills and Expertise you bring
- Demonstrated experience in Real Estate (mandatory requirement) and Infrastructure operations
- Significant direct investments experience, incorporating private markets experience across multiple asset classes
- Strong understanding of accounting concepts, financial markets, and investment operations
- Advanced knowledge of custodian, fund accounting, and unit pricing processes
- Expertise in MS Office products and investment systems
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or commerce

Responsibilities
- Performing daily cash and trade processing, including settlement and reconciliation tasks
- Processing capital calls, distributions and subscription/redemptions for private equity and debt investments
- Monitoring and reviewing the accuracy and timeliness of cash and trade data received from external managers
- Assisting with the on-boarding of new investments and managers, including due diligence and documentation
- Liaising with external and internal stakeholders including Investment Managers, Custodians and the Middle Office
- Investigating and resolving queries and exceptions in a timely manner
- Producing and distributing daily, weekly and monthly reporting for the business
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role, ideally within the financial services industry
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Ability to work well under pressure, manage competing deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Experience with investment operations processes and systems
- Knowledge of financial markets and investments
