About Us
At AustralianSuper, our purpose is simple: to help members achieve their best financial position in retirement. With over £200bn in assets under management, we are one of the world's largest, fastest-growing, and most progressive pension funds. Our London office sits at the heart of our global strategy, and we're looking for a talented Senior Associate - Direct Private Credit (DPC) to join our Mid Risk Group.
The DPC team invests in infrastructure and property debt, with a focus on subordinated and mezzanine capital solutions across the UK, Europe, and North America. As we continue to expand internationally, this role plays a key part in analysing, executing, and managing direct credit opportunities that support the long-term growth of the Fund.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing private credit team investing across real assets. You'll bring strong analytical capability and emerging commercial judgement to support end-to-end investment activity - from screening and due diligence through to ongoing asset and portfolio management.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Assist in identifying, screening, and analysing new direct credit investment opportunities aligned to the DPC portfolio strategy.
- Support due diligence and credit assessment processes, contributing at all stages from initial discussions to final investment recommendation.
- Lead financial modelling for new transactions, including building, assessing, and maintaining valuation and credit models.
- Determine internal credit ratings and prepare high-quality credit papers for investment committees.
- Review term sheets, legal documentation, and undertake comparative credit analysis.
- Conduct periodic reviews of loan portfolios, monitor performance, and contribute to ongoing asset management activities.
- Contribute to portfolio management through research on credit markets, new segments, and emerging opportunities.
- Support broader Mid Risk strategies through reporting, research, and stakeholder engagement.
What You'll Bring
You are an analytical thinker with a passion for real asset credit investing. You enjoy solving complex problems, collaborating with high-performing colleagues, and contributing to a purpose-driven investment strategy.
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- Analytical experience within a top-tier investment manager, investment bank, management consultancy, or similar environment.
- Strong financial modelling capability and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and research skills, with experience distilling complex information into clear insights.
- Experience working on transaction workstreams and supporting deal execution.
- Asset or investment management experience, ideally across infrastructure or property sectors.
- High attention to detail and strong written communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and an appreciation of broader team goals.
Desired:
- Exposure to UK/European infrastructure debt markets.
- Fluency in an additional European language (German, French, or Spanish).
- Strong tertiary qualifications (essential), with CFA/MBA viewed favourably.

We're committed to building an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued and everyone can contribute meaningfully to our mission. You'll benefit from:
- A flexible hybrid work model tailored to support wellbeing and balance.
- Opportunities for professional development and growth within a global investment organisation.
- A chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting the long-term financial futures of millions of members.
We warmly welcome applications from women and underrepresented groups - even if you don't meet every requirement.
