The Role:
Alvarez & Marsal is seeking an experienced Senior Associate, People Business Partner to drive and lead key people initiatives across the EMEA region. In this role, you will support and help shape strategic HR projects and provide direct counsel to senior leadership. You will be instrumental in transforming HR challenges into actionable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Advisory:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, translating business objectives into targeted people solutions.
- Lead the design and execution of region-specific HR initiatives that drive transformational change and long-term value.
- Advanced Operational Ownership:
- Take full responsibility for critical HR processes including supporting the mid and year end performance development and reward processes.
- Introduce innovative process improvements that enhance efficiency and elevate the employee experience.
- Employee Relations:
- End to end case management of lower risk/complexity employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations, disciplinary, grievances, and settlement agreements.
- Work in collaboration with Senior BPB's to resolve complex issues and advise senior management on risk mitigation and best practices
- Cross-Functional Project Leadership:
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional HR projects from conception to completion, ensuring seamless integration with wider People Team initiatives.
- Data-Driven HR Strategy:
- Develop and implement advanced analytical frameworks to evaluate HR initiatives and inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure HR strategies are aligned with both regional priorities and firm-wide objectives.
- Legal, Commercial & Risk Oversight:
- Deepen your understanding of legal, commercial, and risk considerations to deliver informed advice and safeguard the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal standards while driving proactive HR solutions.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Proven HR Expertise:
- HR experience in a generalist or advisory role within corporate or professional services, with a track record of managing a broad spectrum of HR challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic HR initiatives and deliver tangible business results.
- Strategic & Analytical Thinking:
- Advanced analytical skills with a strong ability to use data to drive decision-making.
- A proactive, innovative mindset with the capacity to work independently and manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership & Mentorship:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven experience in advising senior management and mentoring junior team members.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across various levels and drive organizational change.
- Operational Excellence:
- Exceptional project management skills with a keen attention to detail and a results-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with HR systems such as Workday is a plus.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
