The role:
A&M is seeking a Senior Associate, People Business Partner to join our team and support the delivery of key people initiatives across the EMEA region. The People Business Partner team works closely with client groups to provide strategic HR support, contributing to all stages of the employee experience. We are regarded as trusted experts, leveraging deep knowledge of the business and the firm's Culture & Values to drive impactful people solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the People Business Partner team to deliver both core and region-specific people projects across EMEA, ensuring alignment with the business and firm objectives.
- Take ownership of key operational activities that are essential to the function's effectiveness, such as probations, exit interviews, and other critical people processes, gradually expanding your remit and responsibilities.
- Provide support in the delivery of important HRBP programs, including mid-year and year-end reviews, performance ratings, promotions, and compensation reviews.
- With guidance from the People Business Partner team, develop proficiency in Employee Relations across the region, handling tasks like performance management, grievances, and settlement agreements in the EMEA region.
- Work cross-functionally with the broader People Team to support all people matters such as joiners, leavers, transfers, and secondments.
- Enhance your understanding of legal, commercial, and risk considerations to ensure informed decision-making and valuable advice to the leadership team.
- Contribute to strategic projects within the People Team and broader firm-wide initiatives, not limited to the People Business Partner function.
- Grow within the role, taking on additional responsibilities as you gain experience and training in HRBP processes and initiatives.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Previous HR experience in a generalist role, ideally within a corporate or professional services environment.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach, able to think critically and independently.
- Capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Innovative mindset with a proactive attitude towards change and improvement, advocating for better people solutions.
- Self-motivated and disciplined with a strong ability to work independently and collaborate in teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and effectively interact with senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Works well under pressure with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with HR systems such as Workday is a plus but not required.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
