About Us

At AustralianSuper, our purpose is clear: helping members achieve their best financial position in retirement. With over £200bn in assets under management, we are one of the world's largest and most forward-thinking pension funds. Our London office plays a critical role in supporting our global investment strategy.

We are seeking a forward-thinking Senior Associate - Operations Change (International) to help strengthen and evolve our operational capabilities across our London and New York offices. You'll work at the heart of a global change agenda-designing, developing, and supporting solutions that enable robust, scalable, and high-performing investment operations.

We understand that life and work are interconnected. That's why we offer flexible hybrid working arrangements, empowering you to thrive personally and professionally.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Associate within our Operations Change team, you will play a key role in delivering operational change that supports our expanding international investment management activities. This is a role where you'll collaborate with stakeholders across Investments, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Operational teams to ensure our processes, systems, and operating models are fit for purpose in a growing, global environment.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead small to medium-sized change initiatives impacting Investment Operations, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives and timelines.
  • Manage governance frameworks-including project plans, RAID logs, and reporting-to drive transparency and successful outcomes.
  • Analyse current-state processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and enhancement opportunities.
  • Design and implement future-state processes in partnership with business SMEs.
  • Support operational readiness by ensuring systems, processes, and resources are aligned to new capabilities.
  • Build strong relationships across regions with internal teams, vendors, and service providers.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to project teams, contributing to solution design and decision-making.
  • Strengthen operational control frameworks and promote best-practice process optimisation.
  • Contribute to capability uplift within the Operations Change team by sharing knowledge and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring

You're a hands-on problem solver with strong analytical capabilities and a passion for delivering practical, effective solutions. You thrive in evolving environments and enjoy working collaboratively across regions and functions.

To excel in this role, you'll bring:

  • Extensive experience in a superannuation/pension fund, fund manager, or custodian environment.
  • Strong understanding of operational data flows between asset owners, fund managers, and custodians/administrators in public markets.
  • Broad product and trade workflow knowledge across asset classes including equities, fixed income, FX, futures, swaps, and options.
  • Hands-on experience delivering change as a project manager, business analyst, or subject matter expert.
  • Exposure to investment applications such as Aladdin or Calypso.
  • Strong analytical skills, including root-cause identification and process assessments.
  • Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver across concurrent initiatives.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • A collaborative approach, strong active-listening skills, and high attention to detail.
  • A willingness to innovate and promote continuous improvement.

Why Join Us?

  • A culture that values collaboration, continuous learning, and diverse perspectives.

We actively encourage applications from women and underrepresented groups-even if you don't meet every requirement.
