UK Banking Regulatory Reporting Specialist - Interim Senior Associate

We're seeking a future team member for the role of UK Banking Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join our Finance Professional Services Centre team. This role is located in Manchester.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Reporting -Produce high quality monthly, quarterly, semi-annual & annual Bank of England returns for the London Branch of the Institutional Bank. This suite of returns is a detailed view of both the P&L and Balance Sheet. Involvement in daily capital reporting for the UK Bank and providing support in other areas of regulatory reporting where required.
  • Stakeholder management - Lead stakeholder review meetings with the Market Centre. Develop close relationships with Legal Entity Controllers, Regulatory Change Team and other business areas.
  • Oversight & Controls - Ensure all reports are produced in a strong operational control environment with well-evidenced reviews, checklists, variance commentary, reconciliations and procedures. Reporting analytics and MI in a timely fashion, ensuring that you meet reporting deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Knowledge - Stay abreast of legislative, accounting and regulatory developments, as well as knowledge of external reporting requirements and procedures.
  • Assurance - Key involvement with internal and external assurance activities, provide deliverable requests, walkthroughs and respond to queries within a timely manner.
  • Change - Assist with the provision of regulatory support for relevant projects including new regulatory reporting production requirements and regulatory system improvements, new business and product launches. Perform other functions as required from time-to-time.
  • Other - Ensure the operational process are optimised to drive efficient, effective and risk managed outputs.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Qualified Accountant preferred with ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA, part qualified or equivalent considered.
  • Regulatory Reporting experience desirable, including regulatory and accounting systems and processes.
  • Experience of a fast moving, deadline focused environment to meet both internal and external deadlines.
  • Organized and structured working methodology, attention to detail and highly motivated with an inquisitive / curious mind set.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including communication, planning and escalation.
