We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Data Governance to join our Data Solutions & Services - Data Ethics Office team.

This role is located in Manchester, UK and will be working in a hybrid capacity (min. 3 days a week in the office).

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support the efficient operation of BNY's Data Ethics Framework, in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Data Ethics is a core component of BNY's AI governance, focused on the responsible use of data and AI.
  • Refine and evolve BNY's Data Ethics Framework, through the further development and/or delivery of training initiatives, assessment processes and other controls.
  • Review AI initiatives developed across the firm against the Data Ethics Framework and other Data Usage/Governance criteria.
  • Develop and apply expertise in the fields of data governance, usage and ethics in an AI context, as well as in adjacent domains.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • A bachelor's degree, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A strong interest in AI, and an understanding of its potential to positively transform the Financial Services industry as well as the potential risks it poses.
  • Professional or academic experience working in a relevant technology, financial or business domain.
  • A clear commitment to building on your existing knowledge, enabling you to develop as a responsible data and AI practitioner with support from the wider Data Ethics Office.
  • Execution-focused, results-oriented, strong collaborator and communicator, who is highly proficient at analysis, and managing and presenting plans and results.
