About The Role

Our rapidly expanding Insurance, Risk and Regulatory team is looking for a Senior Associate to join the team. It is a very exciting time to be joining HCR as the firm goes from strength to strength.

HCR's insurance and risk team, based at the top of Cornhill, London EC3, in the heart of the Insurance market, has grown significantly in the last 12 months, they have also put in place growth plans to further build their support to the market.

The team work with insurers, brokers, corporate entities, and individuals on a variety of risk and insurance issues which include the defence of civil claims for compensation, regulatory investigations and prosecutions, attending at coroner's inquests and policy coverage issues and disputes. Our client offering extends to the provision of a range of crisis and risk management consultancy services.

You will play an important role assisting partners on complex litigation, often involving criminal and health and safety related enforcement action, civil claims for compensation, coroner's inquests and coverage interpretation/disputes. The team is primarily instructed by insurers to act on behalf of policyholders but also receives non-insurance related instructions.

About You

You will need:

• 7+ years or more PQE
• To work out of HCR's London EC3 offices
• To have solid London Insurance Market experience, ideally to include some exposure to insurance coverage advice and disputes, and health and safety related defence work.
• An ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and successfully manage client relationships
• Excellent technical ability and drafting skills
• To demonstrate teamwork and relationship building skills
• To have strong commercial acumen
• To be proactive, ambitious and organised with a keen eye for detail
