We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Senior Assistant Technical Officer - Pharmacy Production Aseptic Services .
Full training will be given for the post.
All staff are supported to develop their potential through a structured personal development programme and to develop required skills and knowledge
Apprenticeship in science manufacturing is available once established in post.
In addition there are alternative development pathways to further your career in technical services.
Main duties of the job
Core duties:
- To assist with the smooth day to day running of the aseptic service.
- To support in training ATO's and other staff in the aseptic unit.
- Preparation of injectable medicines using aseptic technique in pharmaceutical isolators and laminar flow cabinets, following validated methods and standard operating procedures.
- To assist with collating workload data, environmental monitoring data, entering the data into designated computer programs and generation of reports.
- To assist with audits to be conducted in improving the quality of the aseptic service and the facility.
- To generate aseptic worksheets and adult parenteral nutrition prescriptions using designated pharmacy computer systems.
- To label and dispense pre-filled/ outsourced ready to use items.
- Setting up trays with doses for individual patient's according to standard operating procedure(s) for manufacturing
- Start and end of the day cleaning of unit and equipment.
