Education / Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good general education, with a minimum of GCSE grade C pass in English, Mathematics and a relevant Science subject (or equivalent)
Desirable criteria
- ONC/BTEC or equivalent qualification in an appropriate science or engineering subject
Knowledge, Training & Experience
Essential criteria
- Have some basic technical/scientific/craft level knowledge
- Possess an awareness of basic electrical safety
- Basic computer literacy
- 2 years minimum technical/scientific/craft support role, within a technical service environment or studied Engineering at College or in higher education.
Desirable criteria
- Medical equipment support knowledge
- An understanding of electrical safety in relation to medical equipment.
- Understanding of medical equipment safety issues.
- Familiar with computer databases and stock data recording systems
- Have undergone some form of in-service technical/scientific training or training as a support worker in a front-line patient environment.
- Possess experience in a technical support role in a medical environment.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills

- Ability to carry out routine tasks and provide records of work completed
