Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria

• GCSE or equivalent Grade C/4 in Maths and English

Desirable criteria

• ONC/BTEC in Science or Engineering

Experience

Essential criteria

• 2 years minimum technical/scientific/craft support role, within a technical service environment or studied Engineering at College or in to higher education

Desirable criteria

• Possess experience in a technical support role in a medical environment

Skills

Essential criteria

• Basic computer literacy

Knowledge

Essential criteria

• Have some basic technical/scientific/craft level knowledge
• Possess an awareness of basic electrical safety

Desirable criteria

• Familiar with computer databases and stock data recording systems.

Other

Essential criteria

• Aptitude for working within a team
• Ability to carry out routine tasks and provide records of work completed
• Ability to organise and manage own workload
• Professional interest in developing and advancing knowledge and skills

Desirable criteria

• Capable of working without close supervision
