Your new role:

Our international Compliance and Operational Risk department in London, is now hiring a new seat for a specialist Investment Compliance Analyst to join our growing team.

This new seat will lead and undertake daily portfolio compliance activities across the investments department, including:

  • Utilising Aladdin and other Compliance tools to monitor, review and escalate pre- and post-trade compliance issues internally.
  • Monitor any other portfolio compliance activities across internally and externally managed portfolios.
  • Assist with new compliance and reporting initiatives, including over the counter (OTC) derivatives reporting oversight.
  • Ensure that investment mandates are appropriately drafted and authorised.
  • Ensure compliance rules are appropriately coded and tested, and automation occurs as much as possible.
  • Maintain and enhance off-platform monitoring tools used within the team.
  • Identify, investigate, manage and escalate potential mandate breaches and incidents.
  • Take a lead role building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake substantial shareholder reporting & other regulatory disclosure obligations as required.
  • Maintain and monitor the Restricted Securities List and information barriers as required.

This role is based on site at London King's Cross Estate, one of the core assets of the Fund's global portfolio, with a hybrid work schedule.

What you'll need:

Culture is key at AustralianSuper, and we are looking for someone who is a team player that enjoys working in a high performing collaborative team with:

  • Significant experience within portfolio/investment compliance specifically within asset management.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment within investment management firms.
  • Expert knowledge and track record using Aladdin systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, including MS Office suite, with advance Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge of programming languages (Python) and/or CFA qualification is a bonus.
