Senior Analyst | Exposure Management | Liquidity & Implementation

Team & Responsibilities:

The Exposure Management team are responsible for:

  • Managing Equity and Fixed Income Transitions
  • Monitoring and rebalancing asset and currency exposures to defined targets.
  • Implementing tactical asset allocation decisions and active decisions in fixed income and currency
  • Managing exposures and implementing equities strategies across cash, completion and tilt portfolios
  • Designing and implementing rebalancing and implementation policies
  • Making Capital Allocation decisions between physical and synthetic portfolios with different liquidity and strategic profiles

This newly created seat will be assisting with key exposure management and capital management duties, stakeholder management, as well as governance and compliance, which include:

  • Modelling and analysing asset and liquidity profiles of investment portfolios
  • Monitoring daily market exposures and risks
  • Monitoring, reviewing and analysing performance of mandated portfolios versus objectives
  • Managing exposures and risks resulting from cash flows and change related activities
  • Preparing recommendations for rebalancing actions
  • Multi-Asset transition management related activity, reporting and analysis
  • Creating required trade instructions to effectively manage overlay portfolios
  • Supporting and participating in the goal of increasing tax awareness in Investments
  • Undertaking additional tasks such as working on projects and formulating memos
  • Working as part of global team, liaising/handover with Australia
  • Quantitative research around optimisation and implementation strategies across asset classes
  • Use and understanding of optimisation techniques, with strong skills in data management

This role is a regulated position under FCA/SMCR, and is based on site at London King's Cross Estate, one of the core assets of the Fund's global portfolio, with a hybrid work schedule.

What you will need:

The successful applicant will be dynamic, highly analytical, have multi-asset expertise and display strong communication and stakeholder management skills. They will thrive in working in a challenging and fast-paced environment and be energised by the team goal of improving outcomes for members.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in any STEM subject, finance or economics with a quantitative focus.
  • Coding abilities, experience in Excel, Python and SQL, other languages like R/matlab also welcome.
  • Good understanding of quantitative techniques especially time series analysis
  • Previous experience on the buy-side/sell-side is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of linear derivatives (Futures/forwards/swaps/financing) in any asset class.
  • Excellent communication & organisational skills, with ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Strong quantitative and modelling skills
  • Experience with Portfolio Management Systems, specifically Blackrock Aladdin is a bonus.
