The role
We are looking for someone who is passionate about building high-performing teams and driving change throughout the department. Agile delivery managers within streaming work across a range of cross-functional work streams to deliver value to consumers of ITV's digital propositions, which includes ITVX and ITV News.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee delivery for a product area covering 2 or more teams. Teams will be formed of fully cross functional viewer journey teams and technical platform domain teams.
• Coordinate with other agile delivery managers to provide transparency and insights at a team, product area and portfolio level.
• Coach, motivate and empower teams through the adoption of agile values, principles and good practices.
• Be a positive change agent to coach our teams to new or improved ways of working
• Line manage, develop and maintain team health for their ADM team
• Mentor associate agile delivery managers.
• Champion an agile mindset to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Work with product managers, senior leaders and other stakeholders to ensure transparent goals and priorities.
• Facilitate team and cross-team events.
• Help identify and remove impediments, escalating where necessary.
• Use tools like Jira and Confluence to help teams plan, coordinate and optimise flow.
• Promote and lead ITV's agile delivery community, sharing knowledge and experiences to help build capabilities across the organisation.
Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)
• Solid experience as an agile delivery manager, agile coach or scrum master.
• Confidence in synthesising and presenting key information from multiple product groups to senior leadership.
• Well-versed in building trust and coaching teams toward self-management and cross-functional behaviours.
• Broad knowledge of various agile frameworks, methods and good practices.
• Capable of managing work and dependencies across multiple internal and external partner teams.
• Experience of using empiricism to drive continuous improvement in planning, forecasting and predictability.
• Strong coaching and facilitation skills.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholder demands.
Other things we're looking for (key criteria)
• Knowledge of interconnected disciplines, such as product management, product design & engineering.
• Experience or understanding of scaling agile practices in medium to large organisations.
• Leading and inspiring other agilists as a line manager.
