We are looking for an experienced Affiliate Account Director to join our Affiliate Marketing team!

As a Senior Affiliate Account Director, you will lead a team of channel experts, comprising Account Directors and a delivery team of Executives who carry out a variety of tasks on the team's accounts. They are responsible for setting the highest standards in the company, particularly with client happiness, retention and strategy. Critical thinking, improvisation and imagination are paramount to the success of our Senior Account Directors.

Utilising your experience and position as Senior Account Director you will work on a portfolio of our top tier clients which include national and international household brands. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your team and will focus on delivering the best service for your clients.

As a leader, your team will look to you for inspiration and support, you will always be pushing to create a high performance team with a focus on developing your people. Strong collaborative and communication skills will serve you effectively in this endeavour as well as instilling a sense of ownership and responsibility in the team, particularly when it comes to your client portfolios.
Key duties & responsibilities

Client Portfolio Ownership

  • Nurture and own the relationship with your portfolio of clients.
  • Track and own the movement of finances and resources.
  • Deliver amazing communication to your clients.
  • Understand the client's business and needs.
  • Deliver a particularly amazing onboarding experience for new clients.
  • Work with the Customer Success team to ensure client contracts and renewals are properly addressed.
  • Ensure no client exits the service for reasons within your control. Such as account performance, communication and service delivery.

Partnerships

  • Open doors, execute partner onboarding and work with partners and our partnerships team to deliver on partner's needs so that your clients can achieve their objectives;
  • This may mean attending events,
  • Speaking and presenting at events,
  • Attending client and partner meetings,
  • Working with your executives to ensure communication is accurate, professional and timely with partners,
  • Analysing GAP analysis' to identify recruitment opportunities,
  • Negotiating between all parties to achieve results.

Client Satisfaction

  • Regularly ask your clients how they feel about the service, report on feedback and create plans of action.
  • Proactively identify possible areas for concern and present solutions.
  • Work with our sales teams to ensure service delivery is accurate during the sales process.

Management Responsibilities

  • Instil all of the above qualities and responsibilities in your team of junior Account Directors and Executives.
  • The aim is to create a culture of performance through skill, ownership and proactivity.
  • You will set the bar for what amazing looks like at Visualsoft.
  • Conduct regular 1 to 1's with your team using the provided documentation.
  • Manage holiday requests through our HR system for your team.
  • Carry out reviews in accordance with the company policy.
  • Tackle underperformance head on with coaching, mentorship, understanding and a drive to get the best from your team;
  • This may include 1 to 1 coaching,
  • External training,
  • Regular catch ups,
  • Changes in workload and job role,
  • Or performance management in more extreme cases.
  • Report back to the Department Head on any needs for your team.

Requirements

To be considered for this role you must have adequate experience within the affiliate marketing industry. This experience must include exceptional communication and organisational skills and an expert-level knowledge of the industry. You should consider yourself the 'go to' person for affiliate marketing.

Line management experience is not essential but is a bonus; all Visualsoft line managers are enrolled in our internal manager training programme to help you achieve your goals.

Working with a team of experts, a large portfolio of clients and within a fast-paced environment isn't for everyone. You should thrive in the agency world and have a burning passion to progress your career and deliver for your clients while always adapting and challenging the status quo of the industry.

Essential

  • Extensive experience either agency or client side in affiliate marketing.
  • A demonstrable knowledge of the various affiliate networks and technologies.
  • Including Google Analytics.
  • The ability to craft, manage and deliver on bespoke affiliate marketing strategies crafted around the clients specific needs, we don't do 'one-size-fits-all'.
  • Working to tight deadlines as a team and as an individual.
  • A commercial mindset that allows you to understand a business's needs.
  • Including strong mathematical skills as you will be working with budgets and forecasts
  • An ability to deal with business owners and senior executives to convince them of your vision;
  • This should include strong presentation and public speaking skills.Including the creation of presentations.
  • The ability to own and lead the meeting environment with presence and authority.
  • Delivering the same experience on a video call where required.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of other marketing channels, including but not limited to PPC, Social and SEO.
  • PPC and Paid Social experience has a particular synergy with affiliate marketing as part of Paid Media, and would be considered particularly desirable.
  • Workable knowledge of spreadsheets.
  • Workable knowledge of word processing.
  • Understanding of influencers and content creators.
  • A marketing or business degree.
