Job Description

Role Purpose:

Work as part of a team of Aerodynamicists to improve the aerodynamic performance of the car.

Main Duties:

  • Technical input and development for an area of the F1 aero package
  • Assist in the preparation and planning for wind tunnel test sessions.
  • Analysis of CFD and experimental results.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to more junior members of the team.
  • Best use of WT/CFD personnel and tools to achieve aerodynamic performance targets.
  • Awareness and understanding of the aero package within the group's area of responsibility with a proactive attitude towards both continual improvements and technical innovations.
  • Thorough analysis and reporting of CFD/WT results to establish robust aerodynamic solutions.
  • Planning for / running of accurate and efficient WT tests.
  • Maintain positive relationships and clear communication of information throughout the department and across the team.
  • Assist Aerodynamic Project Leader and Manager in technical and managerial aspects when required.
