  • £32,076 per annum (pro rata if part time)

Your role and responsibilities

  • Oversee daily team operations, ensure clear communication, and maintain motivation within a collaborative environment based on our WE ASPIRE values (careers.suffolk.gov.uk).
  • Lead initiatives for new business and integrate clients into our portfolio, aligning advertising strategies with council priorities for sustainable growth.
  • Utilise your expertise as a CAMS (a Diamond Advertising System) superuser to drive data-enhanced decision-making and oversee the advertising process from concept to execution.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, guiding advertising strategies to improve recruitment and service outcomes.
  • Provide timely feedback and support for team development and manage performance to uphold high service standards.
  • Champion enhancements and innovation in processes, ensuring our team leads in the advertising industry.

You will need

  • proven ability to supervise and motivate a team, driving high performance and resilience during change
  • strong resource management skills, with experience in system development and operational improvements
  • great communication and customer service skills, with a knack for resolving conflicts and influencing positive outcomes
  • advanced system 'superuser' abilities, comfortable with new technologies and operational changes
  • proven track record of collaborative work to achieve strategic objectives and project deliverables on time
  • the ability to handle complex financial and statistical information related to operations
  • familiarity with UK (United Kingdom) recruitment advertising standards
  • a supervisory level qualification or equivalent relevant experience; CIPD (The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) membership is a plus
  • to be able to converse and provide clear and accurate advice
  • a keen eye for detail (proofreading skills preferred) and checking for quality control
  • experience in a recruitment advertising setting and CIPD membership is desirable.

The team

Our team at Suffolk Advertising (suffolk.gov.uk) is comprised of a dedicated and motivated group, that includes an Advertising Manager, a Senior Advertising Advisor, five Advertising Advisors, two Finance Officers, and two Graphic Designers.

We are a close-knit team characterised by our strong commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving excellence in every task we undertake.
