Responsibilities / Position overview
The team are looking to welcome a Senior Advanced Analytics Manager to the team on a 12 month maternity cover contract. Someone who can step into the role and perform the following duties:
Provide statistical and methodological expertise to Lumanity via the growing Advanced Analytics (AA) team.
- Lead and/or contribute statistical expertise within AA.
Own and lead client & internal project execution.
- To oversee the development of key project deliverables and routine tasks, e.g. job planning, costings, reports
- To take responsibility to run project within budget
To independently conduct research activities to help drive innovation and improve client satisfaction and internal efficiencies.
- To start to lead the design, fieldwork, analysis, interpretation and writing of research projects
- To coach others in methodology and high end quantitative outputs
- To anchor all outputs to research business objectives
- To produce "client ready" versions of quantitative outputs
To ensure effective teamwork and coach colleagues.
- To provide support and development to colleagues and encourage team working
- To conduct on the job coaching and feedback to ensure ongoing development and delivery of objectives
- To contribute to the building and development of junior team statistical analysis skills
Act as a valued expert to Lumanity.
- To participate in Company meetings and implement Company procedures
- To seek ways of improving quality and show awareness of need to continually innovate
- Support Lumanity values, show appropriate enthusiasm, creativity, drive and responsibility for tasks and their own development within Lumanity.
Qualifications
- Strong statistical, mathematical, or pure/social science-oriented degree (2:1)
- Post-grad education preferred (MSc or PhD)
- 3-5 years' experience in research, social or pure science or professional services organisation
- 2 - 3 years healthcare sector experience is preferable
- quantitative research or scientific project work experience
- Good knowledge of at least one of the following quant methodologies is essential: choice-based modelling, segmentation, pricing, forecasting, machine learning methodologies
- All round technical ability and broad knowledge of research methods and approaches
- Ability to produce "client ready" interview materials and presentations
- Good knowledge of the healthcare sector preferable
- Proven results in project management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytics tool proficiency: SPSS, R, Python, cloud-based machine learning platforms preferable
