Role Summary

The role will be responsible for their own workload, and will have responsibility for personnel administration, HealthRoster administration, FP10 prescription pad management, requisitioning / purchasing stationery and specials orders via the Trust Unit4 procurement system, diary management for the Senior Team, arranging and minute taking at meetings internally & for Trust wide groups, PGD database administration, supporting recruitment and interview processes and trust intranet updates.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to work within the pharmacy department in Wonford, Exeter. Applications are invited from experienced administrators and additionally applications also considered from candidates who may already be in an administrative role and looking to progress their career through a development opportunity from Band 3 into a Band 4 position. Full training and support are available.

You will form part of the administration team providing high quality business support, administration leadership and general office management to deliver a high quality, comprehensive service to the pharmacy department.

You should be an enthusiastic and organised individual who has great attention to detail, excellent IT skills and able to work efficiently in a fast pace environment. The pharmacy team is a large department which provides a variety of essential services within the main acute hospital in Wonford and to a number of offsite locations.

As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy, when they need it most.

You will have a good standard of education. You will help manage a busy workload providing administration services to the Chief Pharmacist, Pharmacy Senior Team and the section managers in pharmacy. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with staff of all levels throughout the organisation including, an ability to manage telephone, email, face to face and written enquiries from staff and other stakeholders following department and Trust processes, using initiative and responding confidentially and sensitively as appropriate.

You will be responsible for maintaining high quality data records in line with data protection standards and Trust policy. You will support line managers with managing staff absences, recruitment and other HR processes and keeping staff personnel records up to date.
