Your Role

Blackpool Primary School is looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our hard working and committed team as Senior Administrator. The position is for 30hrs per week, Monday - Friday, term time only plus 3 weeks.

The Senior Administrator is a key role in the operation of the school and is highly respected. This post requires dedication and a highly efficient approach providing support and guidance to the Head of School on a range of admin functions. You will manage the whole school administrative function and support the Trust in being responsible for / overseeing:
• financial resource management
• administration management
• facility and property management
• health & safety management of the school

The successful candidate will have line management responsibilities and understand the importance of teamwork to enable teams to perform effectively.

You will be a friendly, enthusiastic and highly-organised individual who can build a rapport with pupils, parents, staff and visitors alike. This is a varied role that covers a wide range of duties and can be challenging at times but is highly rewarding.

If you are organised, sociable and thrive on busy schedules where no two days are the same, this role could be for you. Office experience is essential, ideally within a school environment. Strong IT skills and the ability to work to targets and deadlines within a busy office environment is essential, and knowledge of Arbor would be an advantage.

Previous experience working as an office manager in an educational environment

Financial training or experience of using academy financial systems such as PS Financials

Experience of using school HR systems such as iTrent

Develops personal, private and voluntary sector and inter-agency networks and extends knowledge of specific requirements including legislation.

Leads at an operational level.

Focuses on developing teams rather than merely completing tasks

Understands the importance of proportionate innovation and the part own role has to play within this.

Maintains and transparently monitors information to assess academy performance.

Qualifications

Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, including English and Maths and Grade 4 (previously Grade C) or above
