Senior Administration Officer

Role Responsibility

This role is only open to those staff directly employed by KCC and temporary agency staff undertaking KCC work.

Location - Hybrid - Working from Home/Kroner House, Ashford.

Hours: 10.5 hours per week (Out of Hours)

Kent Enablement at Home - provide domiciliary-based short term enablement services across Kent. to work delivering enablement services to people in their own homes.

Careline is the Out of Hours service for Kent Enablement at Home.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can demonstrate a capacity to cope with a wide variety of tasks dealing with frontline domiciliary services.

The post involves daily use of computerised systems; recording and relaying essential information to various staff; responsible for maintenance of quality records and leading a team of Administrators. Please note the job description is generic.

The Senior Administration Officer will directly support the Locality Organisers.

Key skills required are: excellent communication and telephone skills, and good numeric and literacy. Knowledge of social care systems and experience of supervising staff.

This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

Hours of work will be over a 4 week rota, mainly working from home, with the ability to travel to Kroner House Ashford, sometimes at short notice in the event of network/power failure and for meetings and training.

Friday 6.30am- 08.30am

Saturday 7am - 3pm

Week 2

Monday 6.30am- 08.30am

Tuesday - 6.30am- 08.30am

Wednesday 6.30am- 08.30am

Friday 6pm - 9pm

Week 3

Thursday 6.30am- 08.30am

Friday 6.30am- 08.30am

Saturday 7am - 3pm

Week 4

Monday 6.30am- 08.30am

Tuesday - 6.30am- 08.30am

Wednesday 6.30am- 08.30am

Friday 6pm - 9pm

Total 10.5 hours per week.
